One unforgettable F1 experience. One complete package.
Our fully inclusive Grand Prix packages are designed to give you a hassle free Grand Prix experience without the limitations of travelling with a large group tour operator.
With Altitude Luxury Travel, there isn’t the stress of arranging everything yourself or wondering how you’ll make it to the circuit in time. Your travel manager arranges everything. You can simply enjoy the thrill and atmosphere of Formula One™.
Relax in a superior hotel, in a prime location. Travel smoothly with coordinated flights and door-to-door transfers. Everything you want from an incredible race weekend is included in our ATOL-protected packages. And if you want to add extra nights or additional activities, we’ll tailor a package just for you.
We feel it is very important that our Grand Prix™ packages are fully inclusive of everything you need for an incredible race weekend.
If you choose to travel to Singapore with Altitude Luxury Travel, it's likely that you'll share a few things in common with our regular guests who travel with us to Grand Prix around the world year on year. You'll probably want a package that includes:
• All the essential inclusions like transport, accommodation and tickets
• Attention to detail & professional service so you can simply enjoy your weekend at the Grand Prix
• Value for money with no hidden extras or exclusions
If we can't deliver these three simple things we've not done our job. Knowing all the potential pitfalls of cutting back on service and inclusions we'd rather kindly decline business than risk jeopardising your trip.
You may be booking this trip as a gift for a friend or family member and just the thought of organising this trip is overwhelming. If this sounds familiar please just pick up the phone and call us on 0114 345 1977 and we can talk you through all the different options.
Here's what we include as standard
Flights from the UK to Singapore. You may think this would be an essential inclusion but we have seen trips that don’t include this key element.
Airport transfers abroad are always included and you will never be expected to make your own way from the airport to hotel (or vice versa). This means you won’t be left queuing for a taxi at the airport or put at risk of paying over the odds with an unknown local operator.
Accommodation. We offer a choice of standard (four-star) and premium (five-star) hotels in Singapore. We use the same hotels year on year based on guest feedback, hotel location, price and our own personal experiences. If we wouldn’t stay in a hotel ourselves we certainly won’t offer it to our guests.
Tickets. We'll always give you a price including grandstand tickets or hospitality for Saturday and Sunday and usually Friday too. As you're going to Singapore on Grand Prix weekend you'll probably want race tickets to be included. We feel it can be confusing and unhelpful if tickets aren’t included as standard.

"The trip to the Singapore Grand Prix was wonderful – the race, hotel, travel and people were all lovely and all four of us really enjoyed ourselves. Our seats at the race were great so this was one of the highlights for us. Every part of the experience ran like clockwork and the service we received from Rob and the team was top notch. There is nothing more that could have been done for us as the trip ran so perfectly."

So Singapore is a night race… Here’s what to do in the day!
Because Singapore is a night race, you’ll have the whole daytime to get out there and enjoy the local colour. You don’t have to sacrifice time at the circuit in order to sightsee. So you can really make the most of your trip.
It’s a city of beautiful contrasts. On one hand, it’s the world’s fourth biggest financial centre, full of sleek and towering architecture. On the other, it’s a truly green place where parks and nature reserves make up a big proportion of the land. The result is an incredible mix of nature and progress.
Only in Singapore can you find a real rainforest (at Bukit Timah), an ancient Hindu temple (at Sri Mariamman) and a 131 metre high observatory (the Tiger Sky Tower)… all in the same place!

A trip to Gardens by the Bay is a must do. One of the most iconic outdoor attractions in Singapore, it’s a series of sprawling gardens set on the waterfront at Marina Bay. The gardens are comprised of two main areas; Bay South Garden, the larger of the two, and Bay East Garden. The huge supertrees are a sight to behold; man-made tree-shaped structures house vertical gardens between nine and sixteen storeys tall. Stroll on the suspended walkway between two supertrees to take in a bird’s eye view of the gardens.
In the evening the area comes alive with the Garden Rhapsody, a 12-minute choreographed music and light show.
Visitors can also take in attractions including the Cloud Forest, a 35-metre-tall mountain housed in a giant greenhouse and covered in lush vegetation; the Flower Dome, a cool dry conservatory that replicates the Mediterranean climate; and the Far East Organization Children’s Garden, which caters for kids up to the age of 12, combining nature with adventure.
Bay East Garden is set right on the waterfront and makes an ideal spot for picnics, relaxing with a book or admiring the financial district across the water. There are plenty of places to stop off for refreshments all across the gardens too, from laidback cafes to fine-dining establishments.

Get lost in nature
The Singapore Botanic Gardens is Singapore’s oldest garden and a calm spot near the busy shopping belt of Orchard Road. Highlights include the National Orchid Garden, home to over 60,000 plants and orchids, and Swan Lake, home to two mute swans. The Jurong Bird Park is a good spot for families and birding enthusiasts with its collection of 5,000 birds from 400 species. Feeding sessions at the park allow you to see the birds up close while the flamingo lake will delight young and old alike.
For those who really want to get away from it all, there are plenty of options for exploring Singapore’s wild side. The Southern Ridges offer panoramic views across green open spaces as well as the city and you can explore by foot or by bike. Further north, Singapore’s oldest primary rainforest is found at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Just 7.5 miles from the city centre, the reserve is home to more than 500 species of animal and 840 flowering plants. The most commonly encountered animals are long-tailed macaques and there’s also the chance to spot flying lemurs, squirrels and forest birds such as the fairy bluebird and drongo. Explore on a guided or self-guided trip and it is also possible to go mountain biking or rock climbing in the reserve.

Singapore Grand Prix™ - The inside track
A veteran of McLaren Racing’s pit-stop crew, Formula One™ mechanic Marc Priestly knows more than most about what makes a Grand Prix™ really special. We’ve got Marc’s exclusive take on the Singapore Grand Prix™ – and why the night-time city-circuit event is among the best races you’ll ever experience.
The Singapore Grand Prix™ has emerged as one of the highlights of the current Formula One™ calendar. The sport’s first ever true night race has brought with it a unique set of experiences for drivers, teams, guests and fans alike and has grown in stature and popularity since its inaugural running in 2008.
Against a spectacular illuminated backdrop of the bustling city centre, the Marina Bay Street Circuit is impressively floodlit allowing the race weekend timetable to operate through the hours of dusk and darkness, providing an amazing visual spectacle. The teams and drivers work to European time zones, allowing them to manage the adjusted night time schedule, something which, whilst I can testify to it being an odd experience at first, actually works very well.
In my experience the city-state comes alive at night, so when we finished work in the garages at around 1am some nights, there’s still lots of places to go out and relax or socialise, before returning to the track after lunch the next day.
The event poses a series of special challenges for competitors due to its climate, street circuit nature and light levels.
• Some drivers arrive in Singapore earlier than normal to acclimatise to the heat and humidity. They can lose up to 3kgs in sweat during Sunday evening’s race, so hydration is key. The constant, intense concentration and focus under the artificial lights also takes its toll, making it a tough event mentally and physically.
• The cars also suffer due to the heat. Brakes, engines and energy stores all require particular attention to cooling with the many slow corners and lack of long straights to cool them down.
• Like Monaco, the Grand Prix™ is run on public roads, so man-holes, bumps, painted lines and track evolution all play a huge role in grip levels and therefore lap times.
• Qualifying’s important as overtaking’s difficult and therefore strategy can play a big part in the race result. Teams have to factor in a big pit stop loss time because of the long pit lane and low speed limit and the high risk of a safety car.
• Setting the car up here is all about high downforce and good traction from the many slow corners.
Any city centre based Grand Prix™ is spectacular and Singapore certainly doesn’t disappoint. Noise levels are amplified, fans get much closer to the action and the opportunity to come face to face with the stars of the sport in the street, are much higher.
The now famous Amber Lounge runs its exclusive Saturday night fashion show and Sunday night F1™ after party, where drivers and celebs flock until well after the sun comes up on Monday morning.
The teams tend to stay in the big hotels next to the track, The Conrad, The Ritz Carlton, The Mandarin Oriental or The Pan Pacific, but the Marina Bay area in general is a great place to hang out, with some cool roof top bars overlooking the circuit. One of my personal favourites is the City Space Bar at the top of the Swiss Hotel, very cool.
Like Monaco, Singapore gives visitors a whole lot more than just an amazing Grand Prix™, it’s an unforgettable experience. Enjoy.

Marc worked for McLaren Racing for almost a decade as a race mechanic and member of the illustrious pit stop crew. He was part of every race from the glory days of Mika Hakkinen, right through to 2009, taking in, along with everything else, that incredible day in Brazil 2008 when Lewis Hamilton won his first World Championship. Marc’s worked closely with an amazing list of drivers, including 3 of the World Champions on 2015’s grid and remains friends with many of them today. In fact, such is the extensive nature of his list of friends and contacts throughout the paddock, he’s regularly in contact with key people from many of the teams, and therefore well abreast of much ‘inside’ information.
