Upgrade your Italian Grand Prix with hospitality
If you’re looking for the best quality hospitality at any Grand Prix (including Monza) we would always recommend the Formula One Paddock Club, however this is not always an option.
Monza does have several upgrade options for anyone wanting a little extra comfort. The three most popular upgrade options are the Monza VIP Box, The Fans Club and the Starting Grid Restaurant. Compared to a grandstand seat all three offer an enhanced level of comfort, race viewing and refreshments. Your own expectations and previous experiences of hospitality at other events and venues may differ from Monza. If you are planning a trip to reward or impress business associates we would recommend the Formula One Paddock Club to make the very best impression.
So what’s the difference between the Monza VIP Box, The Fans Club and the Starting Grid Restaurant?
The Monza VIP Box is a private grandstand located on the inside of the circuit just beyond the exit of the pit lane. This is good for views of the cars at top speed as they race down to the first corner. If you watch our video illustrating the views from the Left Lateral Grandstand (4) you can see the white peaked roof of the Monza VIP Box grandstand opposite. Refreshments are served in an adjoining area and seats in the grandstand are unnumbered.
The Fan’s Club includes access to a ground floor lounge located at the pit exit end of the pit lane just beyond the final team garage and a grandstand ticket for Asacri 19, a covered grandstand with big screen TV and arguably one of the best vantage points at Monza. Choose how you split your time between the Fans Club lounge and the Ascari Grandstand for great views of the pit lane and the on track wheel to wheel action.
The main advantage of the Fans Club, over the other (non Paddock Club) upgrade options, is the close proximity to the cars as they exit the pit lane and the chance to witness a Formula One pitstop, which is possible due to the Fans Club’s location just beyond the final pit box. The impressive views down the pit lane combined with the short walk over to the Asari 19 Grandstand are a good combination. There are also TV screens in the Fan’s Club so you can keep up to speed with all the timings and out of sight action.
In our experience F1 fans fall into one of two categories; they either want a view of a braking zone for for the best chance of seeing some overtaking or they prefer to be positioned on the start / finish straight. If you fall into the latter category, the Start Grid upgrade is probably the choice for you. Positioned alongside the first four rows on the grid and before the exit of the pit lane, the Starting Grid Restaurant comprises of a mid size grandstand with a restaurant located underneath. Unlike the Fans Club this option is self contained so you simply step out of the restaurant and into your reserved grandstand seat. This grandstand is good for views of the first few rows of the grid and the drivers lining up for the national anthem, however it is too far forward of the pit building to allow views into the team garages.
As always, if you’re searching for the ultimate Grand Prix hospitality, the Formula One™ Paddock Club™ is the way to go. Pit lane walks, a gourmet lunch and champagne bar are just the beginning of what this incredible F1™ experience offers.
